Best of time; Worst of times

The past couple of weeks have been a whirlwind of activity around here. I've finally begun to catch my breath so I wanted to share the recent events in our lives with you.

Madison accepted Christ, was baptized and confirmed into the Methodist church on May 3rd.

G graduated Magna Cum Laude from Highpoint University May 9th.

Our grandson was born May 12.

We celebrated G's 52nd birthday May 23rd.

On the down side G was let go from his job, his last day was May 22. Not a very nice birthday or graduation present but times are not good for many. We’ve been through this three times before in 30 yrs and I’m certain this won’t be the last time we go through it. But each time it has happened we’ve put our faith in God and done our best to look to him for leadership and each time he has prospered us. So it’s my conviction that He will once again care for us through this tough transition.

In the past we’ve always approached this type of thing as a big adventure. It usually means we have to move to a new city, that in turns mean discovering all the new places to eat, shop and visit. I look forward to it because it means new museums, new parks, and a chance to begin a new garden. Of course my hope is that if we do have to move that I’ll be able to take the greenhouse and my 55g aquarium with me.

So if you have room on your prayer list would you please add G’s job situation. And if you have a prayer need please let me know and I would be glad to pray for you. Just write me at sojourn1960@hotmail.com.

Congratulations on your new grandbaby, G graduation, and M accepting Christ as her savior.

Sorry to hear G lost his job, and will pray he finds another one real soon.

Hope G had a wonderful birthday.
